The 2016 camp brought in more than 15 different teaching artists to work with the 23 students over the 4 week camp session. Here's a peek into each module!
Comics and Podcasts
In this module the students engineered podcasts, explored stories from their childhoods, and learned both audio and visual journalism skills.
Spoken Word, Music and Dance
For these two weeks, teaching artists from Young Chicago Authors helped the students tell their stories with rhythm, and focused on spoken word poetry, music production and dance.
The month culminated in an inspiring performance showcasing all the work created by the campers in the two creative modules!
