Q: What are the dates and times for StoryArts?

A: This year, StoryArts will run from Monday, June 29th - Friday, July 24th, 2020. Students must arrive by 9am and be picked up 3pm. Free aftercamp is available until 5pm.


Q: How much does StoryArts cost?

A: There is non-mandatory $50 materials fee.


Q: How many campers and staff members will be at StoryArts?

StoryArts has had about 25 campers since 2016. We will have six staff members at all times, in addition to a rotation of teaching artists.


Q: Where does StoryArts take place?

A: StoryArts is located at the Logan Center for the Arts, located at 915 E. 61st Street. We will take 2-3 field trips throughout the program on Fridays.


Q: Do I have to pack a lunch for my child?

A: No, lunch and snacks will be provided everyday.


Q: How can I see the art projects that my child makes at StoryArts?

A: We will have a final celebration and presentation of campers' work on the last Thursday of camp. All are welcome!


Q: Who runs StoryArts?

A: StoryArts was designed by Amelia Dmowska and Bess Cohen, both students at the University of Chicago. On the StoryArts team for 2020 Sophie Plotkin and Onam Lansana. Each summer's program will be run by a staff of University student counselors and supported and supervised by University staff from the University Community Service Center, the Neighborhood Schools Program, and Logan Center for the Arts.
